Meconopsis aff.horridula
« on: July 07, 2017, 09:21:28 AM »
Bought seeds of this Meconopsis aff.horridula10cm high/Chn.E.Tibet-Mi-La5100m and manage to get a lot to grow. Now I have split them up into small groups in bigger pots and hope they will survive. I always use this method while splitting Meconopsis, tried before to split them one by one but almost all died so next time I tried to jusr rip them into pieces and plant them and get a lot better result. I was trying it out with Lingholm and no such rare specie but I hope it works on them as well.

I have had success with this method too. It works well for primula as well - especially when it is impossible to sow seeds singly.

I wish I had done that with my aculeata - I tried to separate them individually and it was a nightmare.
