Meconopsis punicea -first flower of the season unfurls.

Does anyone have advice on the best time to cross pollinate this species (I ask this as after flower opening I struggle to obtain good pollen and don't find the stigmas to be particularly receptive)?

Some pictures of seedlings , these are from 2015, seeds from Trillium. They need 2 winters before they start to grow.

Really good roots on the small ones, sadly the soil is not loose enough to make it easy to split them.

Got 14 seedlings from one pot, manage to destroy some of them but thats how it is. Will have the other remaining in the big pot until I see how these will do and not just die.
