Flowering now
« on: May 09, 2017, 05:41:46 PM »
We have had a very difficult season with so much rain over the winter now it is scorching hot and we desperately need rain however several plants are flowering early trying to get ready to take plants to Chelsea for the launch of OUR book.

Meconopsis pseudointegrifolia -clearly very different from the integrifolia I grow which is about 2 weeks away from flowering.

Meconopsis racemosa -from Bjørnar Olsen seed.

Finally the drought of this last 4 weeks has come to an end here in West Fife.
This blue umbrella is a self-sown seedling, the probable parent plants (Mec. Lingholm) are still about a week off flowering.

These are lovely images Steve. The plants are looking so healthy. Thank goodness the drought is over so hopefully no more 'watering'.

Just a few pics of one of my hybrids which is currently nicknamed Teddy's Treasure, this is a very early flowering plant I've had flowers on some of the plants of it since April.

Second pic of Teddy's Treasure, not finding it easy to get the pics down to this tiny size, they look much better full size!
