meconopsis henrici

I have had a good germination of meconopsis henrici from seed supplied by the meconopsis group.  Is this a difficult plant to grow from seed?

I have had not bad germination either. You don't see it listed anywhere much so don't know who is growing it. All trial and error for us then. Good luck.

The seed came from a member in Norway.  I am hoping to get some photographs this summer.

Pretty good germination, but despite a little feeding they look a little chloritic (Yellow).

I also had a good germination, but they don't seem to have grown at all since I potted them up some weeks ago.

Mine are looking not too bad. I have two little pots of them and will pot them on today.

Your henrici looked quite large and healthy before you potted them on Poppy Girl, Do you grow them under cover? Coldframe/Greenhouse? Mine are outside in the elements and are much slower looking considering we live fairly close. I am wary of them in the greenhouse after a load dried out for only a day last year and I lost many of them. Hence they are outside. This weeks monsoon should suit them. :)

Hi Matt  They were started off in the cold greenhouse late January. Germination was about 4 weeks. They stayed in there until the first day I noticed the roof vents opened automatically. They were then moved out in to a cold frame watched over all the time for frost at nights. They were fed once with a very dilute tomato feed and then potted on as per the pictures before. Only one from those that were potted on has not survived and they are doing well.
