Title: Meconopsis dhwojii
Post by: Peter Kohn on January 22, 2019, 06:33:09 PM
Very unusual for me to have already pricked out something from this years seed exchange so early in the year. Has anyone else had a go at the M. dhwojii distributed this year ?  Big strong root systems and very fast growing and green but not yet convinced that they are actually dhwojii. Need to grow them on a lot longer to be sure.  Good seed viability (19 germinations from roughly 25 seeds of which I pricked out the 10 biggest). Interested to hear experience of others.

Nothing yet Peter but I only sowed them in early Jan. When did you sow your seed? I will keep an eye open to see when they show.

I sowed them on November 10th and germination was on December 6th. These days I sow all the winter rosette formers in October or November when I have the seed early enough. I also sow a few Lingholm and baileyi at the same time to get them off to an early start - I experimented last year and it seemed to work well.
