Title: Meconopsis 'Springhill'
Post by: Peter Kohn on June 18, 2018, 10:25:09 PM
On a recent visit to Dundonell, Will Soos showed us an interesting Hybrid blue Meconopsis which had a clearly stoloniferous habit. The plant had been obtained from Rob Asbridge (the former Buckland Plants). Rob confirmed that this plant was the now apparently rather rare
'Springhill' form.

Does anyone else have 'Springhill' still (I aim to check with Logan which is identified as growing the cultivar in Evelyn's monograph but Rob no longer has the plant)? If so are you observing the stoloniferous habit ? And could it be that this a grandis x betonicifolia hybrid rather than grandis x baileyi  hybrid ?
